Overview

Diamond is pleased to announce that the Biological Cryo-Imaging (BCI) User Meeting for 2025, is again being jointly held with CCP-EM's Spring Symposium at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham, UK. The event is open to researchers from academia and industry but everyone with an interest in bio-imaging is encouraged to attend.

The BCI User meeting is an opportunity for current and potential future users of eBIC (the UKs national facility for Cryo-Electron Microscopy) and B24, Diamond's soft X-ray cryo-tomography beamline to get the latest news, have the opportunity to hear about the science carried out by our users and meet our scientific staff.

The programme for this year will be announced shortly, there will be keynote speakers, talks from our users and specialised parallel sessions covering various topics across cryo-EM and soft X-ray cryo-ET.

These focused satellite sessions will provide attendees with the opportunity to delve deeper into specific areas of interest and engage with experts in the field. This will be followed by lunch for all attendees and then the main BCI User Meeting that will take up the rest of the afternoon. The meeting will conclude with a drinks/ buffet reception followed by an evening of entertainment.

The CCP-EM Spring Symposium will follow on from the BCI User Meeting. The symposium will take place in Nottingham, on 24th and 25th April 2025 and provides a forum to highlight state of the art developments in computational cryo-EM and related themes as well as showcasing outstanding recent biological applications.

Topics for the symposium will be announced shortly.

The joint event promotes an inclusive, friendly atmosphere welcoming both current and new members to the community.
