Debakshi joined the electron Bio-Imaging Centre (eBIC) in September 2022 as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA). She works on a collaborative project with P&G to understand the mode of action of clinically relevant actives on microbes using CLEM and Cryo-EM techniques.
Previously, she was a Ph.D. student in the laboratory of Prof. Michael Elbaum at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. Her doctoral thesis work was focused on understanding chromatin dynamics and nuclear division in the human malarial parasite- Plasmodium falciparum, using Cryo-Scanning Transmission Electron Tomography (CSTET).
