In addition to the beamline experimental stations, Diamond provides a range of support facilities for users. Preparation laboratories, office space and meeting rooms will all be housed in the synchrotron building itself, and a Guesthouse for overnight accommodation is just a short walk away. A restaurant is available providing breakfast, lunch and evening meals, including weekends. Users also have access to the extensive libraries at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.
Peripheral laboratory space dedicated to the I06 beamline is equipped with an optical microscope and AFM/MFM to allow visiting researchers to prepare for the experiments before their beamtime has started.
If you have any questions or suggestions for these areas, please contact the I06 beamline team.
