Johnson Matthey
Following a degree and PhD from Plymouth Polytechnic I have worked for Johnson Matthey for the last 26 years in provision of Advanced measurement science services. My main background is in compositional and trace analysis, but I’m passionate about measurement that delivers insight for materials performance. I now lead the Advanced Characterisation Group at Johnson Matthey’s corporate research centre and have developed a strategic relationship between JM and Diamond. JM interacts with Diamond facilities in all materials science but most notably in structural, imaging and surface characterisation techniques for Catalysts and Energy materials.
I am currently a member of Diamond Science Advisory Committee (SAC) through representation for physical sciences in Diamond Industrial Steering committee (DISCo).
Diamond Light Source is the UK's national synchrotron science facility, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.
