Aakash Varambhia is a data scientist in the Advanced Characterization Group at Johnson Matthey Technology Centre. Following an MSci degree in Physics at King’s College London (2014) he embarked on a PhD project in quantitative electron microscopy at the University of Oxford. This was followed by a 3-month research position in the Nellist STEM-group at Oxford Department of Materials. In 2018, Aakash joined the Advanced Characterization Group where he specializes in x-ray computer tomography characterization.
Diamond Light Source is the UK's national synchrotron science facility, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.
