Micro-ED Course
Past Course: 6th-8th November 2019, Electron Diffraction
The goal of this workshop was to teach users the electron diffraction method in cryo-electron
microscopes, from setting up the microscope for diffraction data collection to image processing.
The workshop was hands-on with students working on the Talos Arctica, and/or Krios, microscopes,
as well as image processing tutorials.
Hands-on Sessions:
- MicroED data acquisition on the Talos Artica or Krios
- Image processing of MicroED data with DIALS
- Demo of Aquilos lamella preparation of frozen-hydrated crystals
Please find a couple of video's and presentations from the course below.
Lecture 1: Dials for ED (Data Analysis and structure determination using DIALS and CCP4)
Presenter: David Waterman - STFC

Lecture 2: Micro-Electron Diffraction, Single Particle Analysis and Cryo-Electron Tomography:
A hybrid approach for structure determination
