Introduction

Cryogenic Electron Microscopy in Structural Biology Course 2023

14th-17th August 2023

‘Cryogenic Electron Microscopy in Structural Biology’ Course, organised by Diamond Light Source in partnership with CCPEM.

This course will provide fundamental lectures and practical demonstrations in cryo-EM, from sample preparation and the electron microscope, through to image formation and processing, reconstruction in SPA and cryo-ET, and model building. This is a hybrid event targeted at researchers new to the field, lectures will be broadcast to the wider community via Zoom and a limited number on in-person places are available for Oxford Wellcome Trust DTP students and Harwell Campus students & staff. Practical sessions covering sample preparation, cryo-EM screening, SPA data collection and cryo-ET are in-person and strictly limited to first year Oxford Wellcome Trust DTP students.
