PPE Visa

The Permitted Paid Engagement (PPE) visa is specifically intended to accommodate those visitors who Diamond will be paying for certain specific services that they provide, but only for a period of up to 1 month. Anything exceeding this period will have to go through the Skilled Worker or Temporary Worker routes. Please also note that payment for services does not mean accommodation, transport or subsistence fees.

The following are permitted paid engagements where individuals may be invited by Diamond on a PPE visa to:

• Take part in selection panels as a highly qualified academic;
• Give lectures in their subject area

PPE visitors cannot:

• Do specific paid work unrelated to their main job or area of expertise at home or sell merchandise, other than what’s allowed by the visa;
• Extend this visa or switch to another visa;
• Live in the UK for extended periods;
• Get public funds;
• Study;
• Marry or register a civil partnership, or give notice of marriage or civil partnership;
• Bring family members (‘dependants’) with them on their application - they must apply separately.
