On behalf of Diamond Light Source and the Imaging and Microscopy Group, we invite you to apply to the Ptychography (PtyPy) Software Workshop taking place in-person from 12th-13th January 2023 at Diamond Light Source in Oxfordshire, UK. 

The workshop seeks to:

  • Teach the basics of ptychographic reconstruction covering different projectional, stochastic and gradient-based algorithms
  • Provide hands-on training on how to use existing workflows/engines in PtyPy for high-performance ptychographic reconstructions and how to write your own workflow/engine within the PtyPy framework
  • Share recent developments in PtyPy and discuss future roadmaps.

This workshop applies to users of ptychography beamlines at Diamond, internal staff and external researchers and students with interest in ptychography.

´╗┐There is a £50 fee to attend the workshop in-person. Accommodation at Ridgeway House (the on-site guest house) and all meals are provided by Diamond. Applicants are required to cover the cost of their transport to and from Diamond's Harwell Campus.

Accommodation for PtyPy2023 has been booked at Ridgeway House, Diamond's onsite accommodation for users. It provides a place to rest for those working overnight or for longer periods. Ridgeway House offers comfortable rooms and free onsite parking within easy walking distance to the synchrotron and Diamond House where the event is taking place. 

All rooms are equipped with flat screen televisions, internet access, 24 hour security, private en suite bathroom, hairdryers, radio alarm clocks, blackout blinds and tea and coffee making facilities.

Ridgeway House has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, seating 64 guests. Breakfast, which is included in the room price, is served in the dining area, and comprises either a fully cooked English breakfast or a continental style breakfast. There is a leisure room on the second floor where guests can relax and enjoy chess, pool, darts, and a 42" plasma television.
