XPDF Analysis Workshop 2019

Jul 24. till Jul 26.

XPDF Analysis Workshop 2019

This workshop is being led by XPDF beamline staff to give new and less experienced PDF users an introduction to what the technique can offer, and a solid basis in analysis methods for crystalline and semi-crystalline materials. Delegates will be introduced to PDF theory and will learn what makes a good PDF. They will learn about various analysis strategies, including more in-depth tutorials on TOPAS and RMCProfile. There will also be opportunities for delegates bring their own data to analyse and discuss their PDF data analysis issues with staff from the XPDF beamline at Diamond and the Polaris instrument at ISIS.

This workshop is targeted at early PhD students and PDRAs who are intending to use total scattering and PDF methods throughout their research. If you are unsure if this workshop is suitable for you, please contact events@diamond.ac.uk for more information.
