The next Inside Diamond open day will feature stalls and activities, a short introduction to Diamond and a tour of the machine. We expect the visit will last around two and a half hours. Booking for open days opens 6-8 weeks in advance of the event. Click here for more details.

Delegate Information

Location

The course will be held at Diamond Light Source, Oxfordshire and will be run by Diamond and CCP4 trainers. PC's will be provided for attendees for the duration of the course.  For details on how to get to Diamond, please visit our location pages here.

Cost of Course

There is no charge to attend this course which will include all meals and accommodation.

In exceptional circumstances, there is the possibility for applicants to apply for assistance with funding for travel to and from the course. Please ensure you complete this section within the application form.

Accommodation

The course is residential and accommodation will be provided free of charge for the duration of the course at The Bear Hotel in Wantage. A shuttle service will be provided at the start and end of each day from the hotel to Diamond and return.

How to apply

Before beginning the application process please prepare your CV/resume including a description of your relevant experience, other skills, and why you want to attend the course.

You should also confirm in advance that the person you nominate as your referee will support your application, because your referee will be sent an email automatically as soon as you submit your application.

Numbers are strictly limited to 20, and places will be allocated on the grounds of merit and anticipated benefit to the student.

Preference will be given to applicants from British or other European institutes.

Accepted Applicants will be required to attend the whole course (no late arrivals or early departures).
