The next Inside Diamond open day will feature stalls and activities, a short introduction to Diamond and a tour of the machine. We expect the visit will last around two and a half hours. Booking for open days opens 6-8 weeks in advance of the event. Click here for more details.
The workshop is aimed at showing via experimental examples the potential of IR vibrational spectroscopy by non conventional sources, in particular by means of Synchrotron Radiation IR microprobe.
Particular emphasis will be given to IR microscopy/imaging and high spatial resolution IR spectroscopy in a selection of important applications presented by researchers working in the UK and in Europe at different SR facilities, including IR Free Electron Laser and non diffraction limited IR methods.
As part of the IR workshop, on the 8th September afternoon there will be a User Working Group Meeting of the Diamond IR beamline B22, with an open-to-the-public session of 5 speakers from the UK SR IR user community, including an update on the IR facility at Diamond.
