As part of Diamond-II's major machine upgrade, proposals have been drafted for upgrades to existing beamlines as presented to SAC/DISCo in May 2020.
These proposals have been developed further with Diamond's user communities, and reaching out to new users and fields of research by engaging the community through webinars. User Working Groups led by external project champions have developed full business cases that were presented to our advisory bodies in December 2020.
