Bridging for Innovators Programme
Bridging for Innovators Programme
Diamond Light Source has joined the Science and Technology Funding Council (STFC) to support UK business productivity and growth, as part of the government funded Bridging for Innovators (B4I) programme.

The four-year programme run by STFC will provide access to the world leading large-scale science facilities at Harwell, Daresbury and the Royal Observatory in Edinburgh, enabling organisations to exploit a wide range of analytical techniques and enhance their expertise and capabilities.  The aim is to help organisations overcome product, manufacturing or process performance challenges, to increase growth and productivity throughout the UK.

“We are pleased to be a key partner of the B4I programme,” says Leigh Connor, Diamond’s project manager for B4I. “As part of the Government’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF), the programme will enable industry to exploit new technologies and find real solutions to some of their core challenges.  Here at Diamond, we provide a wide range of tools and expertise to help organisations meet these objectives - we very much look forward to welcoming them to our facility.”

A number of briefing sessions have been developed across the country to enable organisations to explore the potential of the programme.  If you’d like to find out more about Diamond and how we might help you, please come along to the briefing event on 8 February.

To partake in the programme, organisations are required to submit their applications for assessment.  Selection criteria will be heavily focused on value to the company and impact to the UK economy.  To find out more, please visit the STFC website.
