What is Diamond?

Diamond Light Source is the UK's national synchrotron facility housing a machine that produces extremely bright light for scientific applications and a host of laboratories (experiment stations) that use this light in a wide variety of techniques.

Diamond is a centre of excellence for applied research in fields as diverse as medicine, engineering, nanotechnology and environmental science. The facilities at Diamond are used in a wide range of industrial applications including designing new materials, studying engineering components, understanding food processing and developing new drugs.

The Industrial Liaison Office is the first point of contact for industrial researchers who need to access the facilities of Diamond.  We provide a range of services for industry including proprietary access, mail in analysis services and flexible pricing modes depending on your individual requirements.
