The Diamond machine
The machine is an assembly of components used to produce, confine and maintain a high energy electron beam in a closed orbit for periods of several hours while the electrons produce synchrotron light for a wide variety of experiments.

Diamond HouseDiamond House is a modern, glass-walled building, opened in January 2005 to accommodate many of Diamond's 300 staff, as well as meeting rooms and conference facilities. Access to the synchrotron facility is via a first story bridge linking Diamond House and the storage ring. |
