Update on the rest of the upcoming Phase II beamlines

The external hutch of the Joint Engineering, Environment and Processing (JEEP) beamline
  • First users are expected in October this year on I07, Diamond’s Surfaces and Interface Diffraction beamline
  • Diamond’s third Spectroscopy Beamline, EXAFS (B18), is due to come online early next year.
  • First light was achieved on the Single Wavelength MX beamline (I04-1) on the 16th September and first users are due towards the end of the year.
  • The hutches for the Advanced Dichroism beamline (I10), known as BLADE, are due for completion towards the end of this year.
  • Commissioning for the Joint Engineering, Environment and Processing (JEEP) beamline’s (I12) internal experimental hutch has begun, with installation for the external experimental hutch well underway.
  • The Surface and Interface Structural Analysis (SISA) beamline (I09) recently completed its Technical Design Report (TDR). Design is now underway.
