Diamond's art on public display

From Monday 11th to Friday 29th January 2010, artworks inspired by Diamond Light Source will be on display at the North Wall Arts Centre in Summertown, Oxford. Local artists and community groups have interpreted the research carried out at the facility into a collection of stunning pieces.

Science in a new light brings together these creations in a thought-provoking exhibition that highlights the importance of the scientific research happening within the county, and the opportunity to express it using alternative methods.

Inspired by the work of Diamond, along with the iconic building itself, three artists each created pieces that reflect their thoughts on the subject, as a result of a 12 month residency at the facility. Science in a new light is the first time these works of art will be on open public display.
