Ridgeway House

Diamond has onsite accommodation for users, providing a place to rest for those working overnight or for longer periods. Initially with 60 en-suite bedrooms, Ridgeway House will eventually offer 180 comfortable rooms, within easy walking distance of the synchrotron building. Accommodation can be reserved once you have been successful in obtaining beamtime and have received your dates for beamtime. An on-line request form will be available shortly.

All rooms are equipped with flat screen televisions, internet access, 24 hour security, private en-suite bathroom, hairdryers, radio alarm clcoks , blackout blinds and tea and coffee making facilities.

Ridgeway House has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, seating 64 guests. Breakfast, which is included in the room price, is served in the dining area, and comprises either a fully cooked English breakfast or a continental style breakfast. There is a leisure room on the 2nd floor where guests can relax and enjoy chess, pool, darts, and a 42" plasma televsion.

The on-site restaurant, which is just a few minutes walk away sells snacks and hot lunches.   Evening meals are served at Ridgeway House.

Week-days:
Breakfast is served from 7.30am – 9.30am.
Evening meal is cooked to order from 5.30pm – 8.00pm (last orders at 7.45pm).

Week-ends:
Breakfast is served from 8.00am – 9.00am.
A packed lunch can be pre-ordered. Orders must be placed by 10 am.

Users should park in the unloading bay at Ridgeway House whilst checking in. If space is available, users may leave their cars at Ridgeway House for the duration of their stay. Alternatively, cars should be parked in the user parking spaces around the synchrotron.
