This one day workshop will provide an introduction to the analysis of synchrotron X-Ray powder diffraction (SXPD) data using the TOPAS software package. The programme is aimed at new users, particularly PhD students and early Postdocs, who will be using SXPD as part of their research work. This workshop will include presentations from invited speakers and beamline staff, as well as data analysis tutorials and practical sessions. Potential topics to be covered during the day are: full profile fitting (Pawley/LeBail methods), fundamental parameters approach for particle size and strain analysis and Rietveld refinement for structure solution.

Places for this workshop are limited and therefore applicants will be required to complete a brief registration detailing their current project work and their justification for attending the workshop.

Registration will close on the 25th September and applicants will hear the result by the end of the following week.
