Workshops

Imaging and Spectromicroscopy*Programme now available*
This workshop will cover a range of topics including tomography, diffraction imaging, XRF and infrared. There will also be talks on the new and upcoming facilities available in this area at Diamond.

4th MX User Workshop*Programme now available*
The 4th MX User Workshop will cover new capabilities, data processing and techniques. The meeting will also feature updates from the Membrane Protein Laboratory and the Phase III Long Wavelength MX beamline.

InfraRed Data Analysis Training*Programme now available*
A practical workshop led by Bruker covering the OPUS/IR software package, OPUS/3D and more. An update on the latest research and capabilities of Diamond's InfraRed beamline will also be included.

Surface Structures*Programme now available*
This workshop will outline some of the key developments happening to two of the newer beamlines in the Surfaces and Interfaces (SI) village; I05 and I09. There will also be a series of talks from users, highlighting a range of results from the beamlines within the SI village and elsewhere, and explaining the techniques used. Topics covered will include atomic scale structural measurements, larger structures at surfaces, buried interfaces and soft-matter surfaces. Research students and post-doctoral researchers in particular are encouraged to attend. Diamond beamline staff will be available for discussion on potential experiments.

X-ray Techniques for Catalysis*Programme now available*
Jointly organised with the EPSRC Catalysis Hub
This discussion session will take place on Thursday 5th September, as an introduction to the field, looking at how spectroscopy, diffraction and imaging techniques available at Diamond can be applied to catalytic science.

Poster abstract submission for the SR User Meeting is now closed. Poster prizes will be awarded to the best poster for each workshop. All posters must be A0 portrait.

Keynote speaker

We are delighted to welcome Professor John Jenkin, biographer of William and Lawrence Bragg, La Trobe University, Australia, to give the keynote address at the meeting.

Student day - 3rd September

We will run an event for students and early stage researchers on Tuesday 3rd September. This event will provide an introduction to the users meeting, and will give students the chance to meet Diamond science staff and other researchers at a similar stage.
