16th March - Bright Light for a Better Planet

Environmental science aims to tackle some of the most urgent problems facing us today – from climate science to pollution. It also takes in the fundamental science of the world around us, and will hopefully provide solutions as we aim to live more sustainably.

Professor Mark Hodson, whose research focuses on how the humble earthworm survives in toxic soils, will be joined by other scientists to discuss how the brightest light in Europe, Diamond Light Source, is helping environmental scientists understand the world around us.

Venue: Natural History Museum, oxford
Date: Friday 16th March, 6pm
