The next Inside Diamond open day will feature stalls and activities, a short introduction to Diamond and a tour of the machine. We expect the visit will last around two and a half hours. Booking for open days opens 6-8 weeks in advance of the event. Click here for more details.
This workshop will cover the use of a range of synchrotron techniques in Environmental Science Research in the broad sense. Speakers will demonstrate how XAS, XRD, SR FT-IR, X-ray Scattering and STXM can all be used in investigating pressing environmental problems. The session will also highlight the availability of a new radionuclide laboratory at Diamond, where work can be undertaken on low level activity samples before they are taken to the beamline.
