Workshop on Diffraction at low-temperature and high-pressure

The meeting is aimed at, but not restricted to, scientists intending to lead beam line proposals that require a cryostat.

Date
22/06/20092009-06-22
Location
Diamond Light Source, Oxfordshire, UK

Diffraction at high pressure is a routinely used technique to explore structural properties of condensed matter. This technique is now being combined with extreme temperature conditions. The goal of this workshop is to highlight the importance of low-temperature structural data at high pressures in conjunction with electronic and magnetic properties and to discuss the potential experiments on I15, extreme condition beamline at Diamond.

The meeting is aimed at, but not restricted to, scientists intending to lead beam line proposals that require a cryostat.

The meeting has no registration fee and lunch will be provided at no charge. Attendees will have to pay for their own travel and accommodation. Some accommodation will be available in Ridgeway House on site.
