A project is underway to extend the capabilities of the beamline to enable x-ray diffraction (powder and single crystal) at low temperature and high pressure, i.e. in the range of 10-100 GPa and for temperatures down to about 4K. The goal is to combine the collection of low-temperature structural data at high pressures with electronic and magnetic properties measured on the same sample.
