Beamlines | I10 - Design Specifications

  • Au coated mirror M1 (toroidal) focusing on the exit slit in the horizontal direction and collimating in the vertical direction.
  • Plane grating monochromator with 3 gratings (400 l/mm with Si surface, 400 l/mm with Au coating and 1200 l/mm with Au coating)
  • Au coated focusing mirrors M3/M5 (cylindrical) which focus the beam on the exit slit in the vertical direction. These mirrors also allow to direct the beam either to the scattering or to the absorption branch.
  • One exit slit set per branch. Their vertical opening defines the energy resolution.
  • Au coated re-focussing mirrors M4 (for scattering branch) and M6 (for absorption branch) (both toroidal).
