Lab 50 is the beamline's UHV laboratory. A large UHV chamber will eventually be situated in this room for offline characterisation and sample preparation, and the room will also accommodate user-supplied equipment.
There is also a clean room next door to the lab.
Further facilities are avalable in the Surfaces and Interfaces Village's central surface science laboratory, where there is an offline UHV chamber including STM, LEED, XPS, etc.
