Electronic structure of 2D materials: theory meets experiment

In this workshop, a particular focus will be on probing electronic structure and many-body interactions using angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), and the new opportunities afforded by spatially resolved ARPES with sub-micrometre resolution (nanoARPES).
Complementary to this, there will be talks on electronic structure prediction in two-dimensional materials, correlated quantum matter effects, and modelling the photoemission process to allow direct links between experiment and theory.
The workshop will be hosted at the Diamond Light Source, in collaboration with the I05 beamline which is dedicated to the study of electronic structure by ARPES: tours of the I05 facilities will be available during the workshop and newcomers to ARPES and nanoARPES are welcome to attend.
